Choose your learning pathway

Begin with the gentle first route. Build intuition about qubits, measurement, interference and entanglement before diving into algorithm design. Use the mathematics bridges whenever a symbol gets in the way.

Available now: the author’s introduction, 26 foundation lessons, 40 algorithm chapters, 30 atlas topics and ten browser experiments. The catalogue shows the further volumes being developed.

Connect the circuit model to familiar programming ideas, then explore measurement and simulation and hardware constraints.

The planned programming volume P01–P24 covers environments, reusable circuit builders, statistical tests, debugging, compilation and reproducible software. It uses supplied algorithm contracts so that the algorithms specialist pathway is not a prerequisite. SDK notebooks remain planned; no browser tool pretends to execute Python.

Follow complex numbers, linear algebra, Dirac notation, tensor products and complexity.

Continue through quantum algorithms to QFT, QPE, optimisation, Hamiltonian simulation, linear systems, spectral transformations, error handling and resource estimation. The algorithm atlas extends these ideas to further families, applications and research questions. The QFT and QPE browser experiments provide small models with explicit assumptions.

Read the security section in the author’s introduction, then study algorithmic security effects and explore BB84 in the experiment studio. Compare an intercept–resend adversary with channel noise, and explain why QBER alone cannot prove security.

The planned security volume S01–S26 supplies its own classical cryptography refresher and algorithm threat explanations. Its scope includes QKD, the distinct classical approach of post-quantum cryptography, vetted library exercises and migration planning. Production cryptography and key generation are outside this release.
